My brother and I walked around Aso, from the main viewing area around to the other viewing area, and the visitor centre no one goes to. Didn't intend to, and got way too much exercise. Worryingly there were a few blasts of the air raid sirens followed by some announcements, which made me worry that it had started spewing noxious gasses!

Thank you vegetablej. Insofar as I'm trying to achieve anything with this blog, I think it's exactly what you mentioned - I'm trying to show people some sides to Japan that they wouldn't otherwise get to see.

You're right - hedge funds are financial vehicles. There are many definitions, some nice, some not so nice. If you ever have insomnia, Wikipedia has a good overview of the industry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedge_fund)

Stunning photographs!

You seem to have found a Japan that few have. I've never seen such powerful natural places.

What's a "hedge fund", sounds vaguely financial?
